Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born March 24, 1977. She is an American actress, producer and model. Her films that are centered around feminist issues are her primary focus. She has won numerous accolades including an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the top 100 influential people on the planet in 2012. Chastain was an enthusiastic actor from a young age. She made her professional stage debut in the role of Shakespeare's Juliet in 1998. After her studies in acting at Juilliard School, she was offered a talent deal by John Wells. She was a frequent guest star in several television shows, and also took on part in various stage productions. Chastain made her film debut with Jolene (2008) aged 31. She continued to release six films in 2011 with the most notable being The Tree of Life (2011) and Take Shelter (2011). Chastain was also nominated for Academy Award nominations as a character in The Help (2011), where she played an aspiring socialite. Then she appeared in Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as a CIA analyst. The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) had more success commercially. Chastain's strong-willed performances in the dramas The Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were also highly acclaimed. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She took home the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain has founded Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She has a strong voice on mental issues and race and gender equality. Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo (fashion executive) is her spouse.
