On February 26, 1976 Ky-mani was the son of the legendary Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis champion Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. East African words for Ky-mani refer to a traveler who is adventurous. As an East African man, his album and his travels can be described as an adventure. The Journey was his first music venture. His diverse vision enabled Ky-mani to discover the right niche for himself and discover his many talents. Many More Roads (Grammy nominated) was Ky-mani's "traditional" reggae single. The album brought out Kymani's mature self. Many More Roads and The Journey were well-received worldwide. This solidified Ky-mani's status as an artist of her own.
