Amy Smart has been a model, actress, and a former American. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. The first time she acted was in the 1996 TV production Her Costly Affair. She struggled to get an appearance for her in Starship Troopers. The transition was difficult for Amy as she had change from modeling to acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to play smaller, less important roles. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her play some more notable parts. The film became a massive box office success and Amy had finally found the fame she had been trying for for more than 10 years. Amy continued to make significant films, like Crank opposite Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular part of the cast.
