Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land the role in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. She struggled with the transition to acting as models were not considered as an actor, so they usually got smaller roles. Amy did not give up. She climbed the ladder to greater roles, starting in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. In 2005, she was cast part in the leading role of the romance comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she had been searching for for more than 10 years after her film just Friends debuted.
