Fawn Mckay

Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915 in Ogden, Utah. Reared in the Mormon Church's very first family, Fawn McKay devoted her creative writing talents as well as her remarkable abilities in research to create the incredible psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith, published in 1945 under the title The Only Man has My History. That title was taken from the funeral sermon preached by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring"You don't even know me." you never knew my heart. My history is unknown to anybody. I cannot tell it. The 29-year-old wrote Fawn after the moment when he spoke, at least three-score writers have taken up the gauntlet. Some have attacked him, some even deified him. While a few have tried their hands in the field of medical diagnosis. It's not so much that the documents are insufficient, it is rather that they are fiercely contradictory. The task is to distinguish the primary source from the third hand plagiarism and to fit Mormons' claims with the non-Mormons' in an authentic historical mosaic. It's exciting and informative. Fawn brodie was professionally committed in this endeavor. The results of her study and writing made her immortalized with the world's attention: Thaddeus Stevens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The South The Portrait of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974), and Richard Nixon.
