Her parents are Harvey Welker who is Native American and Julie Welker who is African-American. Her father works in engineering and her mother is an estate agent. Walker went to the Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown and graduated with the diploma in 1994. Then, in 1998 she received her degree from Harvard College with a Bachelor's degree. Welker as well as John Hughes, a famous marketing director at Merck Philadelphia who has two kids together. The couple began their relationship in the year 2014.
